Cruising Trophy Articles
Cruising Trophies awards are open to all serving and retired REYC members and awarded annually. Cruises may be undertaken under sail or power but not on commercial cruise ships. The log is to be written and submitted by an REYC member, who need not be the skipper or owner of the vessel. Entries should be submitted by early December to RC (Regions) so that the results to be included in the Yearbook.
Long Distance Log - Avalanche Trophy. Awarded for a cruise containing a passage of longer than 1,000 nautical miles.
Coastal Log - Torch Trophy. Awarded for a cruise in mainly coastal (or inland) waters, of 7 or more days.
All logs submitted are added to the website to provide a research resource to members.
