Trojan wins Beaufort Cup Fastnet Race at 2022 Cork week
News just in that Trojan has won the Fastnet Race within the Beaufort Cup in the International Inter-Service Sailing Regatta, being hosted by the Royal Cork Yacht Club and supported by the Irish Defence Forces and run as part of Cork Week. https://afloat.ie/sail/events/cork-week/item/55366-trojan-work-by-british-army-pays-dividends-in-fastnet-race-of-beaufort-cup Fantastic achievement for our crew and apparently the first time it's been won by a non-Irish yacht.

The REYC has entered Trojan into both Cork and West Highland Week both legendary regattas in Ireland and on the West Coast of Scotland, involving 'round the can' day races and a few short offshore races. 150th Anniversary of grant of Blue Ensign Warrant to REYC
Members are reminded that 2022 is the 150th Anniversary of the original Admiralty grant of a Blue Ensign warrant to REYC. This anniversary will be commemorated at key events throughout the year, beginning with the Lymington Meet in May 2022.
